Alan Bates loves sailing and grew up racing with his family’s 1974 C&C 35 for 20 years in Lake Erie. He found J/Boats in 1999.  Racing the J/80 and J/105 on the East Coast, 

I am very excited to represent J Boats Southwest in the great state of Tennessee. I guess you could say I have sailing in my blood. I started spending weekends racing sailboats in Northern New Mexico

Stephanie grew up along the coasts around the world and is a true water adventurer.  As a sailor and J/Racer herself, she is pleased to use her IT and marketing skills on behalf of J/Boats

## The J/Fest Southwest Regatta is celebrating its 11th Anniversary and is becoming a popular tradition among the J/Boat owners throughout the region with over 70 J/Boats and avid J/Boat competitors from around the country. 

This 11th edition may be a bit more challenging with the current Pandemic conditions-but we guarantee the on the water racing will be fun!  LYC, the host club, will comply with both State of Texas and US Sailing COVID-19 guidelines to ensure that this event will be in compliance while keeping the event fun and safe!  Ultimately each skipper will be responsible for deciding to participate in the event based on their personal COVID reality!  Stay Safe!  Stay Healthy!  But don’t forget to enjoy life!

# J/Fest Southwest Using Yacht Scoring

This year J/Fest Southwest is using Yacht Scoring to manage [registration](https://yachtscoring.com/event_registration_email.cfm?eid=13049), online purchases, crew waivers and scoring.  A few things you need to know.  You will establish an email address (username) and password and all your data will be kept in the Yacht Scoring database so you only need to enter once for all future regattas in their system.  The layout is quite different and there are many fields, but not too many more than before.  The skipper is responsible for entering boat info, handicap rating, crew names, and emails. It is a little more work the first time you register, but it will pay off at the event as your registration will be complete and provide you with more time to socialize!

International Marine is lead by Jorge Borges who has been building and working on J/Boats for many years as he worked for one of the J/Boat builders prior to founding International Marine.  IM is the current J/Boat authorized warranty repair facility and they also install the keels for may of the J/Boats that are built over seas and shipped to the US. International Marine Website

Cooky’s Marine Transport – Richard operates a full size semi tractor and a specialized boat hauling trailer.  He can haul long and wide boats, sailboats and power boats.  His tractor’s exhaust is routed so that the exhaust gases exit towards the road surface.  Your boat doesn’t show up with hard to clean diesel tar balls.  Richard has hauled most of our new boats and to date none of them have suffered any damage of note.  He’s reliable and will do what he says.

For larger power and sail vessels, we work with one of the premier yacht brokerages in the country, Swiftsure Yachts of Seattle, WA.  

For local and regional listings, we maintain a network of relationships and contacts of interested buyers. Our minimum fee to list a boat is $1,500 or 10%, whichever is greater.  

As a buyer's broker we work hard to locate the ideal boat for a customer's needs. We have assisted clients in purchasing yachts from all corners of the continent, including Puerto Vallarta, Vancouver, Ft. Lauderdale, Newport, RI, Annapolis, Chicago, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle and many points in between. The Multihull Source was formed in 1995 when Bob Gleason teamed up with Bert Kornyei to expand his Corsair dealership into other multihulls. Bert had recently bought his first Corsair from Bob and was excited to start this new venture. 
Bob and Ira are experienced multihull racers and cruisers; they organize and participate in numerous sailing events throughout the year. Because of their passion and vast knowledge, The Multihull Source is one of the strongest, full-service, multihull-only dealerships in the world.
